No. Ledgli doesn't have accounts, sign-ups, or logins. Open the app and start using it — all of your data stays on your device.
The first time you open Ledgli, you'll be walked through choosing a PIN length and setting a security question in case you forget it. You can change your PIN or security question later from Manage → Settings.
Use the theme icons at the top of any screen — one toggles light/dark, the other switches between the standard look and the technical (terminal-style) theme. Both work in either light or dark mode.
Both Photo and Voice entry are available from Dashboard and from the Modules tab, and both process everything on your device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Yes — when adding an expense, use the split option to divide the total across different categories and Personal/Business tags.
Yes, from Manage → Custom Categories. Pick a name, icon, and color. Built-in categories can't be removed, but your custom ones are fully yours to add, edit, or delete.
If you try to save an expense with the same amount, category, and date as one you've already logged, Ledgli asks you to confirm before adding it again — just a safety net against accidental double entries. You can still add it if it's intentional.
Set a starting balance on any account in Manage → Accounts. From there, its balance updates automatically as you tag expenses and income to it — you never need to manually adjust it.
Yes — Manage → Recurring Expenses lets you set an amount, category, frequency, and (optionally) which account it should come out of. Ledgli will show it on your Calendar as it comes due and log it automatically.
If Ledgli notices you've logged a similar amount in the same category for three or more months in a row, it'll suggest turning it into a recurring bill so you don't have to enter it by hand each time.
Savings Goals (Manage → Savings Goals) track progress toward a target amount and date, and can be reordered by priority. Category Budgets (Manage → Category Budgets) let you set a monthly limit per category, separate from your overall monthly budget on Dashboard.
If iCloud is available on your device, yes — Ledgli stores your data in your own iCloud account automatically, so it follows you to a new device. If iCloud isn't available, Ledgli uses local storage only, and Settings will tell you which mode is active.
Go to Manage → Settings → Export Backup. This creates one file with everything in it, which you can save to Files, email to yourself, or send anywhere you like. Use Restore from Backup to bring it back — this replaces everything currently on the device with the backup's contents.
Manage → Settings → Delete Account wipes everything stored in the app. This can't be undone, so export a backup first if you might want it later.
No. Ledgli doesn't have a server that stores your financial data. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Both need permission the first time you use them. If you tapped "Don't Allow" by accident, go to your device's Settings → Ledgli and turn on Camera, Microphone, and Speech Recognition as needed.
This means iCloud backup either isn't enabled or isn't available on one of your devices. Check Manage → Settings on each device — if it says "Local storage only," that device's data is staying local rather than syncing. A manual backup/restore (above) will move data between devices regardless.
On the lock screen, use the "Forgot PIN?" option and answer your security question to recover it. If you no longer remember the answer either, there's no way to bypass the PIN — you'd need to delete and reinstall the app, which erases local data (any iCloud-backed data would still be recoverable once you're back in).
